We'll start with the basics, which I consider to be your foundation, and work our way up to experienced-level moves that will help you maximize workout benefits, optimize body function, jumpstart your enthusiasm for consistency, and decrease the risk of future injuries.
Nutrient Dense Food
Bring the “home” back into “homemade.” There's no “knead” for store bought when you can make your own. Healthy food CAN taste good AND feel indulgent.
Positive Outlook
Gain support and accountability with other like minded rockstars like you. Invite optimism. Believe in success. Release failure and understand the value of the lessons it offers. Embrace opportunity and let go of the stress in your life.

Meet The Fitness Baker Coach
Yes! I am known for being outgoing and overly positive. I LOVE working with people. I am one of the lucky ones who, years ago, (I’m talking way back in high school) I knew I wanted to become a physical therapist.
Well okay, first I wanted to be the first female trainer of the Boston Red Sox, BUT…
Having been a practicing physical therapist for nearly 25 years now, across the lifespan, from infants in early intervention to 92 years old men just coming off of total hip replacement surgery, I have LOVED watching, learning, guiding, treating, cheering and – most of the time – hugging clients and patients as they have battled and endured and chosen to never give up on themselves or what they deserve in life.
Yes, I am the lucky one who still loves my job. It’s motivated me to build a program that aligns with how I live my life and can reach further than my local community. The values within my membership go beyond the physical part of taking care of ourselves, but also how we treat our souls. What do I mean?
We all have our “zen.” What we do to relax. I have had two, well, maybe three, my whole life: Fitness, Family and Faith.
Faith
I was raised going to church every Sunday and having Sunday dinners with my family, but I don’t believe you need to go to church every week to have faith. Raising our kids through COVID, surviving through the constant change of the political and global world, and believing and trusting in the greater good and examples of life that encompass love not only carries us through the most difficult times, but celebrates with us in the best of times. It has only strengthened my approach to a positive mindset, regardless of what you believe is a “higher being”. I have faith in something greater that offers peace and grace, but also gives us a constant benchmark of a beautiful guide that keeps us in check to become our best, most authentic selves. It's been a common thread in the values that have served me, especially in the recent years in my life.
Family
Raised in a small Maine town surrounded by immediate and extended family, homemade meals were EVERYTHING. They connect us. Now a wife and mother, I strive to cook as many meals and treats as possible without relying on the microwave or fast food. Because what’s better than the scent of fresh baked bread or cookies? Baking fuels my soul. The feel of the flour, the chemistry, the opportunity to serve my family, friends and neighbors…baking does not make you unhealthy. In fact, it’s the opposite. Taking time to learn this skill will serve you not just at your table, but in building connection and joy in every aspect of your life.
Fitness
From softball in the second grade to field hockey captain senior year turned marathoner and PiYO teacher with physical therapy based instruction - fitness has been a major grounding force in my life. The mental AND physical benefits are truly transformational and so, so important to living a joyful, fulfilling life.
There is so much more to life besides having a “size 4" figure. Weight is not the only benchmark to being healthy and having a long, happy and joyous life.
I’ve been married over 20 years to my wonderful husband (my college sweetheart), have raised our two beautiful teenage daughters, and lots of other reasons to believe life is meant to be lived. Not with just acceptance of age, but with intention for love, responsibility, indulgence, dedication, and lots and lots of FUN doing it.
And that's what makes FitnessBaker so successful.
